If I just click and move an object, I can move up down, diagonally no problem. Using the MOVE command, then snapping to an end point of an item being moved, I'm forced to move along X or Y direction. Is there a way around this?

@David125 hi

I am not sure if this is what you are referring to but:

  1. when u start the command move..on the options bar there is a check box for "Constrain" which locks movement to certain plan/axis... Uncheck it.
  2. you chan also try to use shift key which temporarily enables/disables Constrain option

some elements may also require to you to check disjoin too

cheers

Dadgumit! It had to be so simple, I hate it when that happens. Thanks, that was it.
