Is there a way to automatically find the area of the part colored in red in the beam?

A calculated value of the Volume divided by the h of the beam's section? You would need to watch out for the join order though.

Edit: scratch that. It would have to be done in the family so it is not flexible in project.
Paint it with different material and create a Material take-off schedule to get the painted area.
Thanks for your reply.
So, is it possible to put multiple materials in one sweep object?
Actually, I just tested it again and I can paint a structural frame in project. Not sure what I was thinking when editing the previous reply.
Wow, this is the result I want.
I'm curious how you set it up
Can I get a sample file?

Revit 2022 file attached.
Interesting approach...painting beams over a schedule or tag formula...Until you cannot paint the beam in the project...right?
