Is there a way to control the grid of a linked file without messing it up in the original file?

Hi everyone,

I'm working with a linked file and was wondering if there's any way I could drag the grid to fit on my page without messing up the original linked file?

Thanks.

There is not much you can do to the extent of the linked grids and levels except for what view crop regions provide.  I would suggest Copy Monitor the grids from the link so that you would have a complete control, while keeping them monitored / synced with the originals.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Would view cropping still work if the grid is linked?

What do you also mean by copy Monitor? thanks in advance

Yes.  However, you can't manually stretch the 2D extent grips like you can with local grids.
