Is there a way to combine a dimensional parameter and the value of a string?

Hi All,

Is there a way to combine a variable "Dimension" parameter and a constant string value of an "Identity Data" parameter to create a parametric "Description" value?

I am creating 5 benches of varying lengths 4'-0 to 8'-0.  I would like the schedule to say "4'-0" CUSTOM BENCH".  I would like the description field formula to grab the length of the bench from the dimensional parameter, and add it to an Identity Data.
It seems simple enough to me, but I cannot get the Boolean formula to work.

Thank you for your time

This may be rudimentary but

Yes. For schedules, use Combine Parameters. For tags, add the parameters to a label.

Thank you ToanND

I get that I can combine the parameters, but I don't want to combine them at the schedule level, because the the bench is the ONLY family in the furniture schedule that I want to do this with.

So I need to do it at the family level - in the formula column.

My issue is that I don't have the programming background to create the Boolean statement that would combine a dimensional parameter and a text string parameter.

If you can do that, can you post an example please.

Therefore, I need

I can't be done in the family.

Keep this handy. It's a pretty good reference.

It can't be done natively in Revit. You need to run a Dynamo script to combine multiple parameters to a single parameter.
