Is possible to really import an image to a Revit File?

When we use Insert\Import\Import Image to insert an image on a family or a project and later open Manage Links\Images, Revit always shows that this image is a Link with absolute path. There is any way to really import images to Revit files to keep then embedded to the files?

If you import an image it will be embedded in the Revit project file. Even though it is in the manage links menu you will see it is set as an import

You can ignore the path, that's really meant if you want to substitute the image

No. But if you want to share everything in one submittal, maybe using eTransmit would be the way to go.

If you use Import, not Link, then the raster images or PDFs reside in your Revit file.  You can remove/rename the original images or PDFs and they still show in Revit.  You just cannot update them without pointing to the new file locations.
