Basically the question above. I am attempting to use a .fbx file from Esri CityEngine in conjunction with Revit to do some landscaping, and I am wondering if its possible to import a topographic scene from CE into so I can build on top of it.
Import FBX into 3DS Max and export it out of Max as a DWG -- and then bring the DWG into Revit.
Only in AutoCAD 2018 or earlier can you Import FBX. Went away in 2019.
FWIW.
Thanks. Just as a follow up, would I be able to edit .fbx file in the revit workspace? Since its loading in as a CAD file, I'm worried it wouldn't have the 3d elements I need. Personally, I have little experience with .dwg files, and I just want to ensure I have the proper workflow.
Cheers!
