Is it possible to relink viewports similar as Archicad does?

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum

I come from an Archicad background of 4 years and I am starting to get frustrated about how Revit does some stuff.

I wonder if there is a way to relink a viewports  in a sheet? Is there way to do it in Revit or is there a plugin for it?

I just need to recreate the common process of having existing and proposed drawings in 2 sheets. I have placed the existing viewports in a sheet, now I would like to copy them into a 'proposed' sheet and just relink this existing viewports to the proposed ones.

Is this even possible in Revit?

Is there another workflow?

Kind regards

You can duplicate a sheet with their views with plugins (pyRevit,  for example). I think this can be done natively since 2022 version.

And then, in the views you just duplicate, apply the template you want and you got it!

From Revit 2022.1, you can duplicate a Sheet with the View on it, then rename the copied Sheet and View, and change the View to show new work via phase/phase filter.

In older versions, just create new Sheet, duplicate the View, change phase/phase filter, and place on the new sheet.

Adding to the list, Revit 2023 lets you select a View on a Sheet and then change that view to a different one with a dropdown selector.
