Is it possible to exclude invisible lines from drag selections?

Hi all,

So I've a little bit of a problem with some of my families. Essentially I have some face based filled region families I wanted to make appear over other families regardless of height. To solve this problem I've had to place invisible lines 2-3m above the object.

Whilst this does solve my display problem, i've now got an issue when I want to drag select items in my scene. Since these invisible lines still count as part of the family anytime I drag select and accidentally cross into the families bounding box it will select it as well, something I really do not want to happen.

Is it possible to exclude certain parts of a family from counting as part of the bounding box?

Thanks

Still at it, I see.  Are none of the solutions I provided to you over the past couple of weeks working for you?  None of those used the "ol' invisible model line trick".

Yes, still me "at it". Your solution in the other thread does work for the floor plan view but unfortunately it does not work for elevation views.  I've been using the invisible line trick to force it to appear on the elevations as well as they will need to appear behind items on elevations as well.
