Is it possible to change render material of a solid imported from AutoCAD?

I've made a couple of families from solids imported from AutoCAD, organic shapes with plastic for material. I'd like to get away from the extra step of changing the material of the solid in AutoCAD and reimporting the solid.

If the dwg solid is well organize by layers (every material is on a different layer), then you can do changes in Revit:

Manage > Object Styles > Imported Objects > Category - choose the imported object and expand it ( push +) >Material - click on right small icon and select any other material to change the original imported one...
