Is it possible to assign a stage (existing) to linked revit model?

I am working with stages, and I need to link some existing structural elements so they won't mess up with new construction elements. But this link shows in new construction stage (all of the original elements were existing). How do I make it existing, or, the other solution, how do I lock elements so they won't movw with nearby structures if I need to move only new elements?

Hi,

the other solution, how do I lock elements so they won't movw with nearby structures if I need to move only new elements?

I don't know what you mean "only move new elements"?, the existing reside in the link are the not..

For elements in the link showing in the wrong phase in the host project (or you want new elements of link to show as existing in host project.) correctly map the phases between link and host model:

Uhm, can't seem to embed images in message...see attachment.

1. Select link in the host project, and press Edit type for the link.

2. select edit for Phase mapping

3. setup the desired mapping for instance Host phase existing to new construction of Link. (maybe the link has different names for phasing and the existing isn't mapped correctly...)
