Hi everyone!
I am having serious headaches adding manually (as annotation) the perimetrical isolation layer of each encounter between floors with walls. I was wondering if it is any way to do it automatically. I know you can do it with a profile loaded as a fascia component, but you have to do it manually 1 by 1. I think what I wish is to have an option like the sweeps in the walls layer (elements that go through the other axis)... but in floors. See the image below.
Thank you all for the support!
You can create a sweep for floors Edges on the drop down under Floor and try to implement the profile to add a ledge to the floor below the Red Square or manually apply a void sweep to cut-out the red element along the slab edge.
The simplest way would be to use a Wall Sweep/Reveal either again from the drop down under the Wall Tool or alternatively build it into the Wall System Family directly
I am not sure how it will cut out but try the Join/Cut tools to see if this is feasible
You can create your own profile which can be used in both the Wall & Slab Methods - Always use an existing Profile > Resave > Then Edit
Sorry I edited it and added it to the body of the post so it can be view easily.
Interesting, it could be an intermediate solution... But it still has to be done 1 by 1 at every edge of each floor. I don't think there is anything like that automatically.
Thanks any way!
You can use linebase family and pick the edge of your floor slab (see attached). Once you placed the linebase family, you can join geometry to give you embedded edge.
The other option is use slope glazing and add the mullion to the border to mimic the edge. Make sure the panel is set to empty so you only show the mullion.
Adding slab edges is the easiest way already and it gives you a serious headache? Come on man...
