Hi Revit Users and Experts,
As far as I know, I can define the exterior side for wall also I can flip inside and outside.
With the icon, I can know which is the exterior side.
However, here comes a bit bizarre that slope glazing doesn't seem really defining the exterior or the interior side. It can be seen as either both ways with the little icon.
Panels are set upward but mullion profiles are upside down in the sloped glazing.
I am very confused about this system tool.
Could you teach me how I can understand the setting rule?
Thankl you in advance.
Yuki

I think it is basically a roof, so the exterior will alway be the top. Correct me if I am wrong.
I'm not understanding what you mean by "Panels are set upward but mullion profiles are upside down"?
Here's where you define the offsets from center:
Hi @barthbradley,
I was wrong there were not different behaviors between Curtain wall panel and Mullion drawn by profile.
Like @bin mentioned, I also intuitively thought that the exterior side would be on the top of the roof.
However, it seems upside down as I set CW panels and mullion with a profile.
I also tried rotating the profile in the mullion setting but it won't allow me to rotate 180 degrees.
I could make 90 degrees rotated profile in advance but it also caused the other issue so I gave up.
So looking at this result, for sloped glazing, do I have to always flip upside down profiles?
and the exterior of sloped glazing isn't the top of the roof but the bottom?
I tried to create a mullion and it worked.
I notice that your template looks different to mine.
Hi @bin,
As you pointed out, I now noticed that the template explains which side is exterior for each profile usage.
And for mullions, I had to switch my mind exterior is bottom of the screen but not top unlikely other.
Thank you, I think I just needed to know the direction in each profile template, although they behave in the completely same way.
I always use "Metric Profile" but I have never looked at others.
Thank you so much!
I know this topic was solved, but it would really be nice to define exterior and interior..
Just ran into a weird behavior. I have sloped glazing that I created by footprint with multiple slopes. But where the angle changes, the curtain panels flip sides. They're all the same panel, just the regular system panel.
