Hello all,
I am trying to understand how the invitations in BIM 360 works.
First of all I don't have a BIM 360 License. I just have created an Autodesk ID account.
1. I received an invitation to join a project as project contributor and using my Autodesk ID, I got access to the project. [see image 1]
2. I received an other invitation to join the BIM 360 Account as a member of the project. Using again my Autodesk ID account, I was not able to connect to this project, and I got also the error that I am not admin. [see image 2]
The invitation wasn't send to my email, just a colleague of mine provide me the email with the invitation.
Questions:
1. If I ask from the client to send the invitation to my email [In which I have my Autodesk account] will I be able to see the model or I need also to have a BIM 360 License?.
2. If in the above question I need to have a BIM 360 licesce why I was able to connect to BIM 360 Team invitation?
Thank you in advance!
We have answered this already.. You have to have a BIM 360 License to access a BIM 360 Project.
If you don't have one you will have to collaborate the old fashioned away by sharing your model once a week with the other consultants on the team.
But I suggest getting a license, it makes collaboration a lot easier.
