Invisible linked model Display When Cut in Section

I have a structural Revit model linked into my Revit architecture model (structural model is attached not overlaid). If I cut a section in certain direction the linked Revit Structure model doesn't show up. If I flip the section it appears. It happens all the time with the linked model never showing up no matter what the settings are, yet appears as soon as the section cut is flipped. Is this a glitch that can be repaired with a patch? I am well versed in Revit usage and it is not a setting issue I assure you. with the same settings it appears in the opposite direction. I have upload an example to examine.

Hi Dan. Have you considered checking the properties of your Section and the "Far Clip Offset" setting? Maybe the value you placed there is too small that when you flipped your Section the view clip can't see beyond - in this case an opening (I suppose?). Try changing the offset value with a bigger number and see if that works.

We are experiencing the same issue here, just 2017 projects.  Not all projects, maybe 50% of them.

Certain model is only visible looking up or left for example.  Very frustrating.

Look in your View Template>>Revit Links.

1) Make sure that the display of the link is turned on

2) Make sure that Model components' visibility is all turned on

I have done all of that. What I have to do is flip the view to look in the other direction. Sounds like a software glitch to me, needs a patch.

In the Depth Clipping box of the element properties use clipping without line and everything will show up. For some reason when you use Clipping with Line in certain directions the link will not appear. Gauranteed to work.

It's not distance that dictates the visibility, but the Far Clipping parameter. If you were to set that to "clip without line" everything will appear. For some reason "clip with line" hides the link in certain directions.

Use "Clip without Line". For some reason if that parameter is set to "Clip with Line" the link disappears in certain directions.

To view the linked model Below list need to check,

1. Visibility/Graphics: Revit Link

2. Visibility/Graphics : Worksets

3. Far Clip Offset : Clip without Line

4. Link type Property: Phase mapping
