I think I know the answer but just wanted to check: I would like to be able to change the lines of MULTIPLE filled regions to <invisible> without having to select each one. Is there any way to do this? Currently the only option appears to be to change it to the thinnest possible lineweight (.001) which means it is still visible. TIA.
Hi,
You better use a dynamo script to do that task. Here is a forum topic you can look at:

Especially, this post may help you to change all of filled regions' lines to <invisible> :

Thank you. I wish I could say this helps but unfortunately, I have no idea how to apply Dynamo script.
Out of curiosity, what are you using the filled regions for? There's probably a better method for it.
I am sure there is a better way but with my limited knowledge of Revit, having to work from home with little to no support, and very limited time I am forced to use them. We have to show several tile floor layout in corridors and, while the tiles are placed in a repeating pattern, the colors are somewhat random and the pattern changes at intersections. I started to look into creating custom patterns but it is a rather intimidating process for me and will take me a long time to figure them out. (never had coding class, I grew up when the only publicly available computer, “Commodore 64” was a luxury item).
I have already laid them out as regions but if you have a suggestion for a manageable future approach I am all ears. Thanks.
You can create different floors for the tiles, although this is just as tedious and adds to the project size if there are multiple pieces of floors, so perhaps your method is justified.
Note that you can change the linetype to be white to make them invisible.
I need to change the lines of all of the regions at one time. They are not in groups. The only way I can find to change all of them at once gives me only the option to select line weights 1 through 16. There is no option to change the line styles.
You can't globally change the linestyles that you've used, but you can change the properties of the particular linestyle that you have used. It will affect other detail lines that have used that linestyle though.
Confirm the linestyle that you have used for your regions and change it under Additional Settings, Linestyles.
Hi,
Try this little addin application, it can change the linestyle used for FilledRegions.
Limitation: Only ALL lines of the boundary can be changed, and NOT in groups.
Installation, see attached zip:
Close Revit, Unzip and place the Folder and content in: "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\" (for all users)
Or in "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\"
Start Revit, the addin is placed in the "Add-Ins" tab, in the panel "Triple-M"
Although you can only see a 2019 folder, it works for Revit 2019 AND 2020
Workflow:
1. Select the FilledRegions you need to change, or select nothing and let it select all region in active view.
2. Pick a new linetype style in the list.
3. press Edit to change all the Boundaries of the selected FilledRegion to the selected linetype.

Which Revit Version? (and is Revit 2019 installed?)
Could the be the DLL is blocked by windows?
Find the "TripleM_RvtAddin_S01.dll" in the 2019 folder > rightclick > Properties > at bottom Unblock.
Something like:
Unblock
Just tried the zip file I posted on the forum
The "TripleM_RvtAddin_S01.dll" gets blocked, as it's a download and not a install.
Unblock it, is should work then.
I unblocked it and Revit (2019) opens without the error but it isn't showing up on the Add-in ribbon.
Are you sure, also if you restart Revit?
Maybe also unblock "PackageContents.xml"?
It should raise a error if the button couldn't be created.
Forgot to mention.
A message like this should popup on load, Press Always load or Load once.
I did catch the load prompt already. Thanks. Just tried unblocking package contents and restarting Revit again. Still not showing up. I am going to try to reboot the computer to see if it helps.
