We are thrilled to announce the launch of Content Catalog, a cloud-based digital asset management tool designed to provide a single source of truth for storing, versioning, and accessing BIM content, including Revit families. Content Catalog is the new Autodesk integrated version of UNIFI Pro, available to Autodesk Docs subscribers at no additional cost.

With this launch, Content Catalog will only be available to those who store their data via the US data storage location. Access to Content Catalog, for those who utilize the EU and Australia storage locations, will be available at a future date.

Get started with Content Catalog today

I have installed the tool but it does not show on the Revit Ribbon on any of my practice pcs unless I reset the entire profile or reinstall Revit from scratch.

I want to avoid any of this for 50 users, as this is super time consuming.

We are on Revit 2021, 2022 and 2023 latest versions.

Any advise?

@F.Garcia6Y866 and @Mark.Ackerley the product team is working on an update. In the meantime, I believe this will help:
On the affected Windows User machines:

  1. Go to your admin account \AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\ folder and find two folders: CCRevit24 and CCRevit25.
  2. Copy these folders along with each ContentCatalog.Revit<version>.addin from each Revit version folder to the matching locations within your user profile.

Is there an API for developers to interact with the Content Catalog at this time? If not, is it on the roadmap?

Thanks for the update, I am not an admin, but I will raise a ticket and see if IT support can run the install and copy the files.

Cheers,

@grimmbri Thank you. This advice worked for me.

This workaround does work.

It would be good to have it fix within the add-in installation.

Thanks

Is it possible to adjust the resolution for images generated by Content Library upon import?  I would like to bring in drafting view of standard details, but the resolution is so poor that the text is completely unreadable.  I have followed the suggested configuration for viewing search results, but this does nothing to improve the clarity of each detail.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm not seeing a way to start a new post and stay within the Content Library subject.  Is there, by chance, a separate forum for Content Library that I should be posting to?

@mikel5YREW, I have suggested that they create a Content Catalog forum and ideas forum as soon as possible. So here's hoping.

As far as the image quality, are you seeing better results after the files have processed fully. They've told us that it takes a bit (a day or two or a week) to really finish up the processing of the file images, so perhaps after some time they are now looking better? If not, I would suggest that you issue an Autodesk trouble ticket through manage.autodesk.com. Content Catalog is listed as a product in there now. I'd include a snapshot of what your preview images look like.

@Mark.Ackerley @BIMadmin @Chad-Smith @F.Garcia6Y866

FYI, version 1.1.0.0 has corrected the install to admin profile issue so you won't need to do this workaround on everyone's system.

Ric--Exactly where should I go on the manage.autodesk.com site in order to submit a trouble ticket?   I don't see anything that immediately suggests where this might live.

For grins, I have attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing in the way of a thumbnail on Content Library.  This detail has been in the content library for at least 3 weeks, so I'm thinking that, at this point, the resolution is as good as it's going to get.

Mike, On the manage.autodesk.com site, scroll down on the left hand side and you should see Support Cases and then click on Manage your cases and that should open another tab where you can create a new case.

When did you originally upload that? I know there were issues with them being fuzzy early on, but that's been a while ago. Have you tried reuploading it?  See a sample of one of my drafting views attached.

Wow, your images is of much better quality than what I'm seeing on my previous imports.  I will try reimporting.

To reimport, do I simply delete and start again; OR, is there a "reimport" or "refresh" option of some sort?

You might not even need to delete.  As a test I'd almost simply re-export them right over the existing one, but if that doesn't do the trick, try deleting and then re-exporting.  If you're in a hurry, do the delete and export method and not worry about the test.
