I have a nice interior elevation tag in my Revit file. For the large rooms, the view is at 1/8" scale and the tag fits. In the small rooms (like closets and bathrooms), the tag fits at 1/4" scale. So I have 2 views on my sheet, one for each scale. The 1/4" view is just a zoomed-in area of the 1/8" scale view.
The thing is, wherever I have the tag in the 1/4" view, it appears in the 1/8" view too, and spills over the walls of my smaller rooms. I want to have control over my tag visibility so that this does not happen.
So basically, I have one interior elevation tag, and I want some of them to appear in the small plan and not the big one, and the rest to appear in the big plan and not the small one.
Is it a visibility parameter by instance? Is it visibility by view scale? Is it an entirely different family or type so I can control it via family / type?
I'm not understanding. Tags are View Elements. They show only in the view they were placed. Sounds like you need 2 types.
This image with the dimensions is 1/4" scale and it is what I want.
1/4" scale
But the same tags (highlighted in purple) appear in my 1/8" scale view, like this. I need them to not show here. How?
1/8" scale
(This is my test file so please ignore anything weird you may see)
