Interfaces disabled by recent install of Revit 2015 x64 update 3

Revit recommended I install this update, and now my project browser and properties windows won't work. I can turn them on and off, but nothing works in these windows. I've restarted the program, restarted my machine and tried opening different projects: nothing works. I deleted a bunch of old files to free more memory. Nothing.  I'm running a Macbook Pro with Bootcamp to give me a windows environment. Any ideas?

i have assumed you tried the following?:

 

1.  Remove the update

2.  Repair your Revit

3.  Reinstall your Revit

4.  Do a Clean Uninstall/Reinstall of Revit

5.  Restored your Bootcamp settings/image if possible

Something may have happened during the install that corrupted the settings...

 

Try this:

 

Close Revit

Start regedit.exe

Look for the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2015
Rename that to: Autodesk Revit 2015 backup

Restart Revit

Hello @roel 

 

It is recommended to install the successive Release Updates, Service Packs and Hotfixes for Revit 2015 ... UR 3 is one of the very early updates and had some glitches and bugs.

 

U can find most of those updates and hot fixes HERE ON THIS LINK - AUTODESK DOWNLOAD PAGE

 

Otherwise; you may check the Updates section in your Account Management (You can find link in my signature below)

Many thanks for your input.
Realizing that I was way behind in updates, I first tried installing a number of them (4-8).
Nothing improved, but about an hour later as a temporary work around I tried creating some keyboard shortcuts to access different views and suddenly the interfaces "reawakened".
Mysterious, but I guess all is well.
