inside host family: any direct way to lock an element to a nested family

Hello,

I made a child family A (which has various tpyes and lengths) then nest into a host, then I need to lock an element to A so that this element can attach to A and move according to the change of length of A

I had tried:

- reference line or model line but not work

- creat a family parameter in host then associate to type parameter of A, but that has to remove the fomula inside the type parameter of A, which will damage the logic of nested family A

Any advice

Thanks

The Nested Family needs to have "Work Plane Based" checked so that it can be hosted to a Work Plane of a Ref. Line in the Host/Parent Family.

Hello  barthbradley

This case my purpose is reversed, now some element need to be locked (attached) to this nest family A, meanwhile this  nest family A, change its length by its varied type....

Thanks and Regards

Hello barthbradley

I prefer this English forum which is a more suffient language to me

Now I only find the association from nest up to (decided by) host , but not yet find a reversed way ie association from host down to nest (host family parameter decided by nest type)

maybe my logic system is too complicated, I am also searching another indirect way

Thanks and Regards
