Inserted DWG layer colors change

When I insert a DWG file into a project or a title block family the colors I want to preserve from the DWG file are different when the DWG file is inserted in a project. I have a specific color I have defined in my AutoCAD layers RGB 193, 216, 47. When I insert the DWG into Revit the color changes to RGB 165,165, 0. It is still a green but not the green I want. Why does it change? Does the import process not recognize so many colors and defaults to the closest rounded color?

I had never noticed this before, but you are right. I changed a layer to 248,121,12 and in Revit 2020 it ended up at 255, 127,0. Same in Revit 2021. But it's not consistent -- I see values of 124, 127, and 128, which one would assume would all round off to 127.

Revit is fine with you changing the line color back to anything you want in Manage > Object Styles > Imported Objects, and the material as well, but that's a pain when you have already set them in AutoCAD.

RGB colors are imported as index colors and converted back to RGB color. RGB colors may not be a 100% match to the original file.

Thanks, that explains it. It is working as intended. I followed the link to make a product suggestion to add better color matching but the selection box for product does not include Revit.
