I am trying to do a production-quality print. My detail level is set to Fine, and my Render quality is set to Best. The raster quality is set to Presentation. The DPI of the PDF is set to 1200 ppi. The result looks like this:
In the view select the camera view (the box).
Then Size Crop
Check Scale locked Proportions
Set the width (or height) to a higher value
Note that the amount of pixels goes up quite quickly so render times will increase significantly fast

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Just a note, detail level doesn't have anything to do with this. Element visibility can be determined by detail level, so say the door stops in a door family are only set to show on fine detail, and the frames are just rectangles at other levels.
Ah ok, you used a standard 3d View not a camera view.
Try it with a camera view
If desired you can set it to orthographic if you do not want perpective view.

I created a 3D view using a camera, rather than the default method.
Here are the settings available to me now (includes a bit of an inactive viewport showing the camera object in the active view):

So it is just a realistic view, not a rendering. Did you place the view on sheet? How big is it when placed on sheet?
