in-place wall not shown hatched in section

Hi,

I modeled some deck joists using in-place wall (Revit Lt, so all "model in place" are walls). When cutting a section through, it doesn't show the joists hatched, while I'd like to show them filled with a solid gray hatch. How can I do that?

Give a material with the solid gray hatch as the cut pattern. Or if that hatch indicate existing walls then change it to existing phase.

check below video. you need to assign a material to your wall after associating it to a material parameter. You can either add new parameter or use an existing one inside the family.

You sure you want to do that? That means they will be solid grey filled in Hidden and Wireframe Views.  Maybe better to leave Cut Pattern set to "none", instead of "solid".

Thank you, that did it!

Or... you can just edit the in-place model and assign the material there. No need for the parameter, although it is easier to adjust later if you do add one as shown above. I usually create an instance parameter there.
