Okay so I've been trying to trace a sketchup file through massing and it's taken me a while to do.
Then I find out I can't form roofs, only walls. And it looked like this when I zoomed into the wall. What's going on here and how can I fix it?
Attached is the file with the issue.
Thanks!
This is what's going on when I pick wall by face.

Sometimes Roof by Face doesn't work and only Wall by Face will work. That's good thing, not a bad thing. Sometimes neither work. That's a bad thing.
Yes but the issue is that I need the wall to be a roof so that I can place interior walls that attach to the roof.
There are other ways to "attach". Attach to a Ref. Plane. Edit Profile of Wall. Etc.
Yes but not with this form since the wall/roof is curved at at an angle.
I cant make a reference plane because the surface is curved, and I can't edit profile for it to work because the roof is at a weird curve.
Get imaginative. Join the Walls to create an edge. Trace this edge when editing profile of a wall.
I suppose that works. How do I trace the edge to keep it visible while I'm editing the profile?
The join lines disappear as soon as I enter the editing mode.
