Importing grids and text / room names from other CAD packages into Revit

We are working with a structural and MEP team using Revit.  We are architects working in Vectorworks.  From Vectorworks we can export as IFC files, Revit files, DWG and several other formats.  When we export Revit files from Vectorworks all the text (e.g. room names and numbers) and gridlines are 'lost' as they are 2D information.  What is the best way for us to export / share our data so that the Revit using consultant team can access the grdilines and room names etc.?

I'm not familiar with Vectorworks, but if you export to DWG, do the 2D elements come through?  If so, import the DWG into Revit, which can be used as a reference drawing - this should show the 2D elements.
