Importing a Autodesk MEP 3D model into Revit 2019

Hi All,

I'm trying to import a 3D AutoCAD MEP file into my Revit project so it shows in plan and 3D.

Problems I am facing:
When I load the model in the Elements that use a line to model (Pipes, Ducts etc) the geometry disappears.

It should show like this:

But Actually Shows like this (in both 3D and Floor Plan):

I have tried exporting to IFC but it becomes very faceted and is not suitable especially in Plan view, I also have issues with being able to change the colour of things once exported to IFC, the entire model become a bunch of un-editable Generic Families so it's impossible to adjust.

At the moment the 2D floor plans are most important to me, I need to show Shaded (coloured) or at a minimum a hidden line floor plan, without faceting, with the Arch and other services as an overlay.

I have also tried using the "Hidden Line Projection" Tool in AutoCAD MEP but for some reason it also facets the geometry too and it becomes just lines so when imported it's not "Hidden Line" to the other services, Arch or Structure.

Which isn't suitable either.

I have searched other solutions but they seem to be quite old (one was from 2011)

Any suggestions would be great

Regards

Justin
