Imported Categories in Visibility/Graphics greyed out when no view template is applied

Hi! I can't see an imported CAD file in floor plan. It is visible in Reveal Hidden mode, and the boxes in Visibility/Graphics > Imported Categories are checked but greyed out. No view template applied. What could be the problem?

if it is red or pink then select it in Reveal hidden mode right click and unhide it in view

When i click on the bulb there is only the option to hide it, no option to unhide. Its visibility seems to be controlled by something else, but if it is neither through hide/unhide, visibility/graphics nor a view template then what..?

if you can select it then delete it and instead of insert, use link and check the box for this view only

see if that gives you better options

it might be related to a particular workset that is turned off in that view.

as a rule i try not to insert AutoCAD files if they can be linked

Check filters.

It's invisible whether i link or insert the CAD file; whether it's "view only" or not. All worksets are set to visible. Removed all filters - still invisible.

This file has been handed to us from a different organization, they had worked on it using cloud services, whereas i am working on it locally. Could it be some kind of error related to that?...

open the file in AutoCAD and save it as a lesser version run a purge and Audit

turn on and thaw all layers.

then try linking the new file into a new view in revit

Is the cad file from a linked revit model? by linked view might gray things out.

No, as long as you have the file stored locally, this shouldn't be related.

When i receive documents from BIM 360 and i use them locally on our server the links are all set to ATTACHMENT. This will change some things with how links work. So if your linked Revit models are set to ATTACHMENT, i would advise changing them to OVERLAY and see if that helps.
