import to 3ds max

how to import revit file to 3ds max with components ?

Hi, set your revit in 3D View and export to FBX. thanks hope it helps

We usually just link the Revit file direct... that way we don't need to mess around with re exporting it again later when the design changes...

thanks bt making it as fbx file , the components like tress etc gets hidden

Trees in Revit are RPC plugins. It can be seen in 3dsMax also provided you install the RPC plugin in 3dsmax since its not given by default unlike revit. Then 3ds max will automatically display the same tree as in revit. Alternatively, you can download tree models for 3ds max, or use the Forest Pack plugin which is simpler than RPC to install and gives wide range of trees in 3ds max. Putting them in photoshop is my preference though.
