Import sketchup file as conceptual mass in Revit design

Hey all,

I'm new to Revit and one of our clients has a very big BIM file of there planned building.

We are doing the interior in a conceptual fase right now and they would like us to offer them outside perimeters.

So they can see where there will be clashes with HVAC and other contractors.

I found online that i can export my interior shapes out of Sketchup as a 3d cad file.

After that i opened a new conceptual mass file and imported the 3d cad file.

All these steps looked ok.

But now i have opened the Revit file of my client and i want to import the conceptual mass file in there and nothing seems to work.

I went in the Project Browser and selected the floor i needed to import the mass to.

But when i do it with PLACE MASS i don't see my interior elements.

Can somebody help me or offer me some more insight please.

This is not a program that you can learn by yourself, although my company seems to think i can ;).

Kind regards.

Hope to hear from one of you.

Your workflow is unclear to me.

the 2 ways we use to insert a SKP file into Revit are:

Insert Tab=>Import CAD=>Change file type to SKP and the select and load the SKP File.  If this doesn't work,  we bring the SKP into AutoCAD via "ImportSKP" add-in, and save as a DWG.   Then back in Revit we load SKP-DWG via Insert Tab=>Import CAD=>Change file type to DWG and select and load the SKP-DWG.

Is the Mass Category Turned on in the View?

Is "Show Mass by View Settings" activated under the Mass/Site Tab?
