Import Revit Settings From One PC To Another PC?

In AutoCAD, I can import settings from one PC to another or from an older version to a newer version.

In Revit, it is possible to import settings from one Revit installation (Office) to another (Home) installation.

When I say settings, I mean like background graphics colors, line weights, texts types and all.

Thanks

i think you need to copy the revit.ini file

Thank you for the information of importing settings from one PC to another.

I need more please!
I have a project I copied from the office to home. At home, all looks fine with all the line and text types I have already created while learning Revit with the project (then). However, when I create a new project or family, the line and text styles I have in the already created project, would not be in the new project. I am still in the AutoCAD thinking mode.

Is it possible to have the Revit program have and always have the text and line styles available in any project of family?

Thanks

Your options are as follows:

  1. You need to use the same Project Template which was used in the other project (those are .rte files in which all project standards are defined)
  2. If you do not have the .rte or do not know which one was used,
    • you can also open both projects in the same revit session (the new one you started and the one where you have the standards you want)
    • and from the Manage tab use the transfer project standards from 1 project to the other (sse image below)
