It would be great to be able to import items from a linked in model to your local project so that they could be edited/interacted with. For example, as an AVL integrator/consultant, we are regularly recommending room design changes for acoustics or properly control booth functionality. It would be great if we could import the floors/walls of a sound/control booth from the architect's model into ours and make the changes, rather than having to start from scratch. We also use wall based cutting families for speaker cavities and floor boxes that require the walls/floors to be local rather than linked. This would speed up our workflow so that we aren't redrawing these things in order for our client renders to look correct.

I have not, but just dug into it. That is perfect! I did not know that feature was in there.
Thanks!
Copy/monitor should work however, watch out for the phasing of any copied elements. That doesn't carry over

I have run into an issue where families that cut into walls/floors that are part of the same model are not cutting geometry that has been copy/monitored. Is there a solution for this?
