import model from 3ds max to revit

Hello there,  I am using Revit 2018 and we are working on finish renderings in 3ds max.  We can get the revit model into 3ds max via fbx file but is there a way to import models from 3ds into revit?  I tried to use the sketchup file but it would not open.  What I think I would really want to do is import 3ds max models ie furniture and fixtures into our revit model.  Any way to accomplish that.

Thanks,

Tori
