I have plans which are in imperial.
My question is can I draw in imperial and then swap over to metric to design a new extension

@tgray hello, yes you can do that > just go to manage > project units and length (vice versa) > change from there thanks
you just need to be careful if youre importing / linking into your model that they come in at the right units
The thing is i have plans of a house that are in feet and inches (on paper not on cad) and the most accurate way woild be to draw using the imperial dimensions. Once i have it drawn this way i would like to draw an extension in metric. What template should i use and is it easy to convert from imerpial to metric
use whatever template you would normally use - architectural? - see attached for how to change units in a project. >manage tab/project units...... you can chop and change as many times and as often as you like?....
you will still need to check on import (if you import any dwgs) what units it will come in at
Hi.
I am also trying to change the units from imperial to metric. And not mid-project, but in a new project:
I open a new project and import the settings from a previous project which had imperial units. Now, I followed your advice and as you showed on the snip, I went under the Manage Tab, but I cannot seem to find the Project Units option. Are you using ACAD Plant 3D 2018? If not, can you tell me where can I find this option? I am adding a snip of my Manage tab: - maybe it is under the CUI ?
Thank you and kind regards!
