Imperial Details Missing

(I am an IT guy, not an architect, so apologies in advance for any incorrect terminology I use.)

One of our users uses Revit Architecture 2012. His Imperial Details folder has apparently gone missing. Instead of the normal Windows 7 3D Yellow Folder that shows up on the left side of the open window, it displays a 2D White Folder. (All other folders in the area look normal.)

What would cause this to occur and how can I restore said details? (I assume I can restore them by choosing the Repair option in Program Management but wanted to make sure there wasn't another option before potentially reverting any changes he may have made to other default files.)

The Imperial Library installs on each local machine upon initial install.

You could:

1. Run the Repair from Control Panel Install/Uninstall Programs

2. Locate  the Imperial Library folder on another machine and copy it to the other machine.

If your firm has "custom" content which (should be ) is located on the network, you could also look there

and copy it onto the local machine. Just be careful, as there is "OOTB" ( Out of the box) content, and most times also "custom" content generated specifically by the firm.

This is our only Revit user, so pulling from another installation wasn't an option but as I went to do the Repair, I noticed the Add/Remove Features button. I tried that, simply leaving what was checked as checked and "adding" what was already there. That brought the details back. Still not sure why they disappeared in the first place, but the user isn't especially computer literate, so it could have been any number of things that triggered it.
