Hey,
the ifc files that we are getting from the precast manufacturer works perfectly (correct location) in Solibri and Dalux (as you can see in the picture) but when importing to Revit the location of the ifc file is wrong
Is there any way we can modify the ifc (in notepad e.g) file so that the coordinates fit because we cannot change the export from tekla since we are only receiving the ifc files and we agreed upon with the subcontractor that the ifc files are the file format to work with.
Thanks for your help
Laurin
You might want to check the project base point within the main project itself
Before you did your Tekla structure project did you set any coordinates ?
The IFCCartesianPoint is the coordinate used by Revit as its placement point. Perhaps what is happening, is that point is far beyond Revit's 10-mile distance limit.
As i said, we only get the ifc files from the subcontractors. So we can't change any export functionalities ourselves.
Have you reviewed the support article - https://support.tekla.com/article/tekla-structures-base-point-for-coordination-with-autodesk-revit
Yes i have read this article. But as i said, we can't change the export from Tekla as we are only provided with the ifc files and do not export them ourselves.
In that case, open the
IFC file directly and then link the Revit file to your main file and later adjust the coordinates of the linked Revit file.
