Hello all,
I have one question about the IFC mapping file in Revit.
Could you please someone tell me if I can export building elements that don't have automatic mapping to IFC export classes, so they have the value "Not Exported"? What I should put in the IFC Class Name Column?
For example I want to export Title Blocks.
Thank you in advance!

Hi @mairh_tsek
If needed, the mapping table can be overridden by assigning following shared family parameters:
IfcExportAs: Overrides or sets an object specific IFC Class to which the object will be mapped.
IfcExportType: Assigns a specific Type (Subcategory) within the specified IFC Class.
The values used for these parameters are the IFC classes used for the mapping tables as well.
In order to not export a single object type, use the IfcExportAs and type in DontExport.
Please see this post HERE and see if any of the recommendations help resolve your issue.

Thank you for your answer.
So, if the element that I want to export doesn't belong to any IFC classes, it is impossible to export it?
Hi @mairh_tsek
Can you share a file with us to troubleshoot? I can send you a private folder with you.
We could try different setup to see if the element gets imported correctly.
Let me know.

When we create IfcExportAs, is it an "Instance" and IfcExportType is a"Type" in the Project Parameters window?

Thanks! you're right. I investigated more, and found that It is only type.
