IFC export: same File size although different coordinate base

It seems that the ifc export does not take into account the coordinate base. When exporting large infrastructure projects the file size is always the same. Probably a bug

Exporting large infrastructure projects to IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) in Revit can sometimes lead to issues with file size and coordinate systems. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Coordinate System Settings:

Ensure that the coordinate system in Revit is set up correctly before exporting. Revit uses a project base point and a survey point to manage coordinates. Make sure these are correctly positioned and aligned with your project's requirements.
Use Shared Coordinates:

If your project involves multiple linked files or requires specific geographic positioning, use shared coordinates. This ensures that all elements are correctly aligned in the exported IFC file.
Simplify the Model:

Large file sizes can be due to complex geometry or unnecessary detail. Consider simplifying the model by removing unnecessary elements or using lower levels of detail for certain components.
Adjust Export Settings:

In the IFC export settings, you can choose different levels of detail and options for what to include in the export. Experiment with these settings to see if they affect the file size.
Check for Updates:

Ensure that you are using the latest version of Revit and the IFC export plugin. Autodesk frequently releases updates that fix bugs and improve functionality.
Test with a Smaller Model:

Try exporting a smaller project section to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if the problem is with the entire model or specific elements.

RVT to the max
