IFC EXPORT - Missing windows & doors

Hi fellas!

We just recently started having problems when exporting to IFC.
Our windows & doors are embedded into the walls, in Revit it all looks as it should though.

Does anyone have a solution?

Can be several reasons but looking at the adjacent buildings, windows seem to be exporting fine there...

  • are your walls joined walls? or 1 wall element?
  • The opening in the window family is an extrusion? a nested void family or a Wall opening?
  • Did you try to export the Main building and the existing surrounding as separate IFCs

What setting did you use when you export IFC from Revit? I did encounter when I export IFC from Revit, any wall opening or curtainwall will export as solid object. I did have success using ArchiCAD IFC export from Revit. Check the plugin

Solved!
It seems that the latest IFC exporter has some weird bugs, installing an older version seems to work!
