Ifc export - glass in window

Hello

In my project i've got windows made of curtain walls.

For the windows and doors we've made use of curtain panels. Inside this panel there is a family inserted for the glass.

When I export this I see the window as shown in the attachment

As you can see in the IFC viewer (BimCollab and Solibri) the element isn't shown as one element (glass is separate)

How can i also make the glass part of the element shown in a viewer?

By the way both the window and family are exported to the same category

How about making the Glazing a Shared Family nested into the CW Panel Family?  Does that give you the output you want?

Hello

The glazing is already shared and nested into the CW Panel family.

Thanks for the reply

Okay. So what is exactly that you're after?  Maybe I'm mis-readng you.

In the IFC reader I would like the window to be exported as a single "Window" unit (so including the glass)

That is your problem.  Shared families are exported as separate elements.  Your curtain wall window family should not have any shared components nested in if you want them to be exported as single entities.
