IFC export app

Hello.

I have the problem with IFC export app ( I am using REVIT 2016 version ).

I was working with the simple REVIT IFC export options and I installed the IFC export APP to try it. But now when I am trying to make IFC export with the app options my computer  takes so much time to do it and it is always near its limit ( now  when the project is quite big, the IFC export is not capable to generate it ).

Could somebody help me with this issue?

 I assume that IFC export app slows down computer and so everything hangs and takes a lot of time...

Should it be like that? because before the app everything was working quite smoothly.

IFC export is a built-in function, why do you need to install an App to do it? I would get rid of the App.

Because with this app ( see below ) there is a lot of new properties and functions .

I have occasionally been working with this app with different Revit versions. Depending on the size of the model it can take (quite) some time. But I have had no problems with it. Last time generated an IFC file of over 100MB without issues.

However with add-ins there always can be some issues. You would have to do some troubleshooting

-Try unisntall/Resintaal of the add-in

-Try different views (with different objects) and see if that will export (export allows to export only things in view)

-Try different project

-Try unloading other add-ins to see if it might be conflict.

-Download and install other (older) version of the IFC export add-i from the site

-If available you can try a project with other (older) Revit versions and see if similar issue
