Identity data does not transfer with project standards command

Hi All,

I have a project I am working on with several models, each of which have the same wall types. The design of one of the models has progressed quicker than the others and I have used Transfer Project Standards to import the wall, floor & roof types types from this into the models that are behind. We have added description, type comments and keynote parameters to the identity data section of the properties for the aforementioned element types in the furthest progressed model. The changes to the wall structure have come across with the standards transfer but not of the identity data has.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

You need to redo that stuff as it is specific to the source model.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

It works fine here.  What version are you using?

Couple of ideas: 1) "Load as Group" into existing project, 2) Put walls in template (RTE) file and start your project from there.

Is the information actually not transferred for you guys?  It works for me, even if the wall type has the same name with different Identity data, transferring project standards will override it with the source data.

it does transfer identity data in 2017.2

@Ross_Robertson: make sure that the wall types DO NOT exist already in the project you are transferring to. The process will not accept duplicate wall types. You should be seeing a message alerting you to this.

You can choose override when the warning message arrives.  It works here, 2017.2 too.

Thanks for all the answers, unfortunately they don't solve the issue. We're too far on in the project to delete the wall types we have in the destination model. I've tried overwriting the existing types when I get the warning on transfer, this updates the geometry but not the identity data. I guess a workaround could be:

rename types in destination model

transfer in new types

swap old for new...

Hi, ran into same issue when i was trying to do the Room Identity Data. I have transferred parameters from another project, but the identity data didnt show up .

Try to add in the parameters available to elements in project, you can find this in Project Parameters under Manage tab.

Hope it helps.
