Hi,

we have devided Revit model in two parts: Outer structure including roof, wals, beams, pilars and flours, interior including fixtures, furniture etc.

We need to export IFC-model for our co-working designers (pipes, elctricnet, lights etc) who don´t work with Revit. We have problems to export IFC when these models are linked together. Is it possible to export them one by one and bind them together after export?

Or How should we do it better?

Projectsize  is something 23.000 m2.

Please answer soon we need that information.

you can create separate revit models to create separate IFC files, then merge them together using this:

http://ifcapps.com/IfcMerge/

also, you can try binding the revit files as one revit model to make 1 IFC file.

Thank you for your reply, but..

It didn´t work properly and link you gave as didn´t either. Curved walls were broken etc. In our model we have old sructures, demolished and new structures, and they all came out as one new constructon phase when binded together. It would be great advantage to get different phases separately to IFC. What should we do?

before binding the revit model, ensure your current phase is existing or whatever phase is is supposed to be.  Then, bind it.  Afterwards, if it still does not come in at the correct phase, you can select all of the 3D model objects and change them to the correct phase via the Properties palette.

Unfortunately, working with IFC files is a bit tempermental and not always a clean transition of information.
