Hi.
i want to title the view i dropped in same as the the title on its sheet title.
both the view title & sheet title name these parameters:
- Sheet name
- Sheet name line 2
Sheet title works perfectly fine but view title doesnt pick up sheet name line 2.
I've uploaded both shared parameters to project and respective families
Help.
Assign the Project Parameter to both Sheet and Views Category, however this won't establish a link between them. View Title can't "read" Sheet Properties. and vice versa.
Native Revit will not do what you want automatically. As @barthbradley mentioned, they are 2 different category types (View & Sheet). You might be able to do something like that with Dynamo though, have it read one and fill in the other.

You don't need a view title if it's the title of the sheet. I only add the title if there is more than one view on the sheet.
Thank you all, i figured it out in the end - simpler than i thought. Although it still doesn't automatically take it from sheet title but i can get it set up at view template level for the template
@RobRocks at my firm we have 90+ client standards we deal with on a regular basis. Some are very logical, some are not. But at the end the day, the client is paying the bill so we do what they want. Not sure that's what's going on here, maybe?
