No that is not possible. Revit is not backwards compatible. You do not have backups?

Only option would be to export to IFC and import in Revit. However you will loose a lot of intelligence/information.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Yes, you cannot save Revit 2015 to Revit 2014. For this you can export to IFC from Revit 2015 & can open the same in Revit 2014.

But you can open Revit 2014 file in Revit 2015. This will upgarde the Revit 2014 file in Revit 2015 & once upgraded you cannot then open Revit 2014 in Revit 2015.

There might be some backup files which Revit prepares while saving i.e001, 002,etc. See that if some of the backup files can be opened in Revit 2014:)

Well, let's not leave logic completely hidden under the rug here. Revit COULD be made to have a save-as function that would save to older versions. Sure, some things would have to get translated/mapped to fit into the older database arrangement, and some things might have dissapear altogether. So it wouldn't ever be an ideal solution. And it would take a whole lot of work planning and dealing with that translation/remapping/discarding process. But it COULD be available functionality.

It would probably be a nightmare, and just give reason form more people to complain a bunch. But it COULD be available functionality.

Those responsible for the Revit code development just haven't done it.
