I'm having a problem with newly added Toposolid revit.

I'm having a problem with newly added Toposolid revit. The topography has triangles that do not match the topography of the dwg. I have attached the topography in case anyone wants to test it.

What about Floors from the Polylines?  Kind of like chipboard modeling. :zwinkerndes_Gesicht:

You're joking right ...

That's a major issue from Revit 2024 ! toposolid doesn't match de 3D DWG !!!

I've lost half day, and still no solution.

I have similar problem, when trying to import the surface created in Civil 3d to Revit.
Solution that is provided is to export the surface directly from Civil3d to Bim360 and insert it into Revit. However, when I insert the toposolid, there is an error saying "Slab Shape Edit failed." and this removes all levels of the surface and gives me just the extents all in one level.
Does anyone know a solution for this?

There is something seriously wrong with the new toposolid tool. In revit 2022 it worked perfectly many times with the old toposurface. Toposolid is not creating an accurate surfaces. Not even close.
I have a shared surface from Civil 3d in Autodesk docs.

Autodesk have published this article too. This is a serious issue in Revit 2024. I just banned starting new projects in Revit 2024 in our company till this is resolved:

In my youtube channel, I have posted some videos analyzing the flow between revit and civil, in revit 2024 the proper flow is to use the civil 3D project as a reference, because the revit TIN algorithm is different from the Civil TIN algorithm. Revit re-generates the surface, and that is rework!

Send me the dwg triangles and I will make an exact toposolid for you. I will use rhino inside for this.

@ar00302

What you mean is that with Rinho, it takes the Civil 3D surface and leaves it identical to Civil 3D, but in Revit?

Yes I  will add it exact the same as produced by civil 3d using grasshopper rhino inside. Probably you can do this with Dynamo but I work with grasshopper

Can we please get Revit updated to do surfaces properly. It doesn't even
have grading tools to make batters for example. You always have to go to
another program to create the surface correctly. The new Toposolid doesn't
even work correctly for Civil 3D Autodesk Docs links anymore. We have to go
back to an old version of Revit, create the Toposurface, then upgrade this
model and copy and paste this surface into our Revit 2024 project.

Exactly... can't beleive they changed something working.

How do you create a modified surface if you import from old Revit ? ... you need to recreate manually a surface in 2024 ?

TopoSolids in 2024 have a 10,000 point threshold before they are automatically simplified (points removed) to stay under that number. 2023 and below Toposurfaces did not have this limit.  I would verify the number sin points in C3D surface to see if this is the issue for your surface.

I was using a TIN surface in Civil 3D.

In Revit 2025, the Problem is still exactly the same.

Toposolids are not usable for us, when the surface is not accurate.

Now I am back to stone age using revit 2024 toposolid. My boss wants to fire me out. Plaese bring back toposurface AUTODESK!

Autodesk, there are so many other issues that you could be "improving", such as navigation within the camera tool interface. This is absurd. Why change what people liked.
