Hi,
Can anyone help with this issue: I created a shared parameter type: Text. I then created a Project parameter under the material category. Then deleted the parameter from the project but it still shows in the material. It is also now Read Only and shows up in all the materials.
I checked the project parameters and its gone. So not sure why its still there.
You should remove it from the Manage > Project Parameters window. Make sure you select the parameter and then click "Remove" and make sure to click OK. Then it should be removed from the project and the material browser
So check if the parameter is indeed removed from Project Parameter window.
If it is removed from the project parameter window and still showing up in the material browser then something strange is going on.
In that case you could strip the project and upload it to the forum sow e can have a look (before uploading make sure the issue still exists)

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
See attached file. The Project parameters have all been deleted. To see the parameter in question, browse to the material palette then select custom properties. You will note it is the only parameter left in the project and it is grayed out.
I've tried everything I could think of. Including deleting all model families and elements in the project.
I'm wondering if this is a Revit bug? Was this a bug in Revit 2016 they were supposed to fix? I opened the file in 2017 and 2018 but the result is the same. So if its a bug, they still haven't addressed it?
Not sure why it is still there. I would expect it to be gone.
However when you use purge unused on the material(s) it is gone.
