Those look like Door swing/opening lines.

Can you turn them off in Visibility Settings?

or in the Door/Window Family Edit the Visibility settings for the Symbolic lines

i'm sorry but i probably didn't explain in the right way. I meant that there's like a red texture instead of a glass texture and i don't understand why. It's an imported family so the material should be right. I have this problem only on "front elevation" view

Is there a Wall close behind it with a Red Finish?

Also check the materials in the Door Family as it could be the issue or have another item attached such as a built-in blind/shade

you need to share your family so we can take a look

Looks like there's a wall behind the window. Use Join to join that wall to the wall in front. If that doesn't work, you probably created a Void in the Windows Family but it's not deep enough to cut that red wall.

Replace with another standard Door/Window does this work?

Loading into a Standard OOTB Revit Wall build-up it works as expected

So try a few things;

Change the Window to a Standard Window - does that work?

Change the Wall to a Standard Wall - does that work?

If both of the above are YES - I would suggest due to your wall build-up it is not cutting through the whole of the Wall and layers

@c_bovo

Rather than changing the window family to another type, try and temporarily hide the window with the Revit Temporary Hide/Isolate tool  (Eyeglasses). This will retain the opening but hide the window family establishing whether the red element is part of the window or behind the window. With the window hidden and the red material still visible you can tag the revit element with a material tag to help identify the offending family.

Ex.

Another test would be to reduce the elevation view depth to just inside the interior thickness of the wall to see if the red disappears.

As @jay_colc mentionned, the second wall is still a possibility if the wall is masked by visibility parametes in other all other views but the elevation view. If you create a new 3D view, open all workgroups, make all types visible, and set to realistic, do you also see the red material?

Without access to the project file, its all detective work.

Hope this helps,

Grazie per la risposta, ma non riesco ancora a risolvere il problema. Ho provato con le due opzioni che mi hai inviato.

Save your model under a new name and delete everything apart from the Wall and Window and share - this is the simplest way and you do not need to share the whole project to protect your information.

There is definitely an issue with the Families and you model, inserting a new default window i got the same for the Realistic Visual Style

jay_colc_1-1776332847683.png

But also for the Family the Glass Extrusion does not appear to be correct?

Compared to the other Window?

This is the fix

Windows and Curtain walls are transparent in elevation view in Realistic mode in Revit 2021 and late...

@jay_colc

Good catch.

As it may not be obvious to future readers of this discussion thread, the problem and solution seems to be:

  • In the initial model, the glazed parts of the some of the windows were opaque while other families the glazed parts were transparent in realistic views;
  • The red materiel visible in the transparent windows were on walls located behind the openings (as can be seen with the shadows cast by the opaque frames);
  • The solution was to change the "transparency" parameter of window family to read as "opaque" with the workaround explained in the link on your post.
