HUGE Worksharing issue

So - got a HUGE worksharing issue - It isn't working!!!

I have a client with a project that worksharing has been enabled. The central file has been established along with their local files. There are just 2 people working on the project. Person "A" gets in and works - Person "B" gets in and works on the same object as A and gets no warning that the elements are being edited by someone else. B saves to central then A saves to central and get a warning that revit cannot reconcile the differences between the local and central.

What is up with this??? I have never seen this before. Both users have the latest build with service pack 2 installed.

Has anyone hit this before?

Please help!!!

LD

Accepted solution

I've seen this happen a couple of times before.  Somehow both users were using the same username.  That's why the central file wasn't seeing the two separate local files as "different".  Go to the Options on each user's computer and make sure they aren't using the same username.  If they are, then correct whichever one is wrong.  If that's not it, then I have no idea...

I am having them try it right now and will let you know.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hope that works for you.

I'm still not entirely sure how it happens.  Maybe if each user had logged onto the same computer at one point...?
