How to use Consecutive Commands

In Revit I have a certain job where I need to use two or more consecutive commands.
Like after drawing Detail Line by 'DL' command I want to activate some other command like 'LI' etc.
In Autocad I can do this by the help of LISP  is there any way I can do same in Revit as well?

LISP is Autocad...In Revit you can do something similar BUT you would need some programming knowledge Example:

  1. You can use Dynamo - you might need some Python (either write your own nodes or use existing ones) to create autonomous tasks. See LINK HERE
  2. You can use Macros (you will need some VB or C# knowledge) About Macro Manager and the Revit Macro IDE
  3. You can use API

I am giving tag and spot elevations again and again periodically I wanted to automate this process and omit key pressing again and again.
Doing this through api is not quite possible as Revit api does not provide access to use revit built in buttons.
The only way I can think of might be automating the key press itself through programming, but needs to test that if it will work or not.

Just wanted to have some other opinions if any other simpler option exist or not.
