what is the green line anyway? either you move your topo to match your model or move the model to match your topo? thanks
Hi @ennujozlagam ,
Thank you for your reply.
Even if I move my model to the topo, in "3D" view, "Part A" and "Part B" are still separated from each other (not in the same plane).
First of all, may I ask what is "Part A" and "Part B"?
Secondly, why are "Part A" and "Part B" not in the same plane?
cut a section view > go to VG > model categories > site > tick > project base point and internal origin > move your project base point to match your model or topo.
What I think you're looking at in that screenshot, is a DWG Link or Import in a Revit Project. Those green lines (Part B) are likely polylines in the DWG that represent the index and intermediate contour lines since you are talking about "TOPO" here. The AutoCAD Layers that those polylines are on the layers that Revit will translate into a Toposurface. To do that, go to Massing & Site Tab, press "Toposurface" and "Create from Import" and then select the DWG. You'll be prompted to select the Layers to translate. Untick all checkboxes except for the Layers that can those polylines are on and then press "Ok". Revit will go to work creating a Toposurface.
Note: you can identify what Layers those PLINES are on by selecting the DWG and pressing "Query" on the contextual tab.
...Part A is the all the other linework in the DWG. None of that linework should be referenced when making a Toposurface.
