Hi, using Revit 2018.
Drawing walls, etc., I understand that the highlighted dimension is the "listening" dimension, and that when you type a value on the keyboard while aligning a wall to place, the value is inserted into that listening dimension - for placing walls the dimensions are wall length and angle from the horizontal.
My problem is that only length is ever the highlighted, listening dimension, and that I am unable to make the angle the listening dimension. I know that in AutoCAD you can just press TAB to switch between listening dimensions, like you can TAB into angle, type the angle you want, then TAB into length and type the length you want, press enter and create the geometry.
Anyone? Thanks.

You can not do that with a wall that has been drawn on the horizontal or vertical plane as the angle reference is not there.
You need to drag the end of the wall off the horizontal/vertical plane and then it will give you the length and angle.
If the wall is connected at both ends you will not get an angle (even if the wall is angled).
The temp dimensions display depending on what has been modeled, what elements are close and what is visible on screen.
It is only the length Temporary Dimensions that can be entered "on the fly" (ie as you draw)- you can't do it with angular dims.
The next best thing is to draw your element at roughly the angle you want- and then select it. The Temporary Angle dim will become visible and you can then click on it and put in the exact angle. I know it's an extra step, but that's all we have to work with in Revit.

Is there any way to do this in Revit 2025 now? For some reason I thought that I could edit dimensions "on the fly", however as I come back to Revit I find it really inconvenient that I can't. I may think this because I am currently used to Inventor and AutoCAD.
Thank you!
